took very excellently his Diploma at Milan Conservatorio under Glauco Cambursano (Solo Flutist of "La Scala" orchestra) and continued his specialised studies with M. Larrieu, T. Wye, Conrad Klemm and attended the special chamber music courses held by Giuseppe Garbarino at the Fiesole music school.
For several years he played as a flutist with Garbarino Ensemble,and performed many concerts also as a solist on behalf of primary music society. He frequently played as Principal Flutist in the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan, "Stabile di Bergamo", "C.Coccia" di Novara, Accademia Bizantina Ravenna and Harmonia Ensemble, a group he performed a tournée in the biggest japanese town with.
He has held recitals often with artists as Leo Nucci and Raina Kabaivanska in the most important italian and foreign theaters as "la Scala" Milan, Accademia "S.Cecilia" in Rome, Accademia of S.Fernando in Madrid, Herkulesshalle in Munchen, Salle Garnier of Montecarlo and Municipal Theater of Santiago del Cile. He played in many European States, in Japan, North Africa and South America.
He is intensively active in the field of chamber music especially with "Promenade" chamber ensemble, "Dafne" wind quintet and in duo with guitar.
He was classified at the first positions in the international competitions of Stresa, Martigny, Atkinsons "I Nuovi" Milano, C. Soliva , Casale Monferrato, F. Schubert Moncalieri. He recorded for many labels and for Italian Television.
Since 1986 active in
teaching, Gianni Biocotino is flute professor in Novara Conservatory
and he hold master classes of flute and chamber music in Cividale del Friuli and Orta S.Giulio.
